The Protocol

There is no fixed program — yours doesn't exist until we've spoken. What follows are the instruments I draw from. Which ones, in what measure, and in what order — all of it is composed around you: your bloodwork, your history, your goals, adjusted day by day. The clinical pieces are always in licensed hands; my work is to orchestrate them into one coherent whole.

Bloodwork & Lab Review

Comprehensive labs completed before you arrive, reviewed with a licensed practitioner. Together we read what your numbers are telling you — where you're depleted, where there's a gap to close — and translate it into a plan you understand: food first, then lifestyle, then sensible supplementation where it's genuinely needed. Your real data, never a template.

Daily Movement

Personalized training calibrated to your physiology — resistance, mobility, gymnastics rings, and breathwork.

IV Therapy

Targeted infusions — NAD+, glutathione, and tailored vitamin blends — given a couple of times each week to support recovery and energy. Administered by licensed local medical professionals.

Clean Nutrition & The Kitchen

Anti-inflammatory, whole-food meals — locally sourced, free of seed oils. And time spent cooking together, so you leave knowing how to feed yourself the way the retreat fed you.

Yoga

Daily sessions with expert local instructors — adapted to where you are physically and what your body needs that day.

Daily Bodywork

Skilled hands every day — and rarely the same way twice. A qigong master, acupuncture, foot reflexology, craniosacral therapy, and other traditional modalities, rotated to work different systems of the body across your stay. Recovery treated as its own discipline, not an afterthought.

Ceremony & Ancestral Practices

Temazcal — the ancient Mayan sweat lodge — sacred cenote immersion, and traditional Mayan healing. Practices used for ceremony and clarity for thousands of years, woven in where they serve your process.

The work begins before you arrive and continues long after you leave. Your time here is the middle of it — not the whole of it.

The Conversation

Everything begins with a conversation — an honest one. We talk about your history, your goals, what you want to change, and whether this is genuinely right for both of us. This is not a sales call. It is the first piece of the work.

The 30-Day Priming

Once we move forward, the program begins at home, thirty days before you arrive. A full blood panel where you live, a protocol built on your real data, and small, deliberate shifts to food, sleep, and movement — eased in slowly. By the time you land in Akumal, you're already in motion. Day one is not detox. Day one is depth.

The Retreat

Eight, eleven, or twenty-two days in a private home on the Caribbean. Your days find a rhythm — work and rest, effort and stillness — calibrated to you and adjusted as your body responds. No schedule borrowed from anyone else. No part of it shared. Just the protocol, the place, and the change taking hold.

What You Leave With

You leave physically stronger and more capable, mentally clearer and more aligned than the day you arrived. Most of all, you leave with a program you actually understand — a way of living you carry on your own, not a feeling that fades on the flight home.

Aftercare

The work is tested when you get home. For three months after, we stay in contact — a monthly call to keep your protocol on track and adapt it to your real life, plus an open line in between. Because what matters isn't what happens in Akumal. It's what happens when you leave.

A word on what this is, and isn't. I'm not a physician, and this is not medical care. I don't diagnose or treat disease, and I don't prescribe. Bloodwork is read with a licensed practitioner; what I do is help you understand your own numbers and act on them — through food, training, the way you live, and sensible supplementation where there's a real gap to fill. What I offer comes from three decades of direct experience — testing, measuring, refining, and living these principles myself. That's the thing I can offer that no clinic can.

My education in the body started in Dallas, where I co-founded Larry North Fitness. But the real beginning was 1991 — when I left with thirty cents to my name and a dream I couldn't talk myself out of. I grew up a heavy kid in a house where food was a quiet, processed struggle, and I knew early that none of it had to be mine.

For years I trained and advised high-performing leaders in Aspen and New York — learning firsthand the demands placed on the body at the highest levels, and the quiet cost when it gets left unattended. What you put into your body isn't a fitness decision. It's the foundation everything else is built on.

In 2007 I bought a round-the-world ticket and landed on Koh Phangan, Thailand. I stayed seven years beside one of the most respected cleansing centers in the world, trained in the Ido Portal method, and spent a year studying movement as therapy. I took what worked and left the rest, until it became one system — built on anatomy, biomechanics, and the way a body is actually meant to last.

I never went the institutional route. What I know, I went and found for myself. For more than three decades I've treated my own body as a laboratory — tested, measured, failed, learned, adjusted, refined. What I share here isn't theory; it's what has held up in my own life. At fifty-five, I'm in the best condition of it — lean, energized, balanced. For a long time this was never a business; just what I did, shared quietly with the people close to me. I'm opening it formally for the first time.

You will not be pushed harder. You will be taken deeper.

Who Comes Here

This is not for everyone, and it isn't meant to be.

It's built for one kind of person: someone who has already achieved a great deal, and who senses — quietly, maybe for a while now — that something underneath still needs attention. The body that used to bounce back. The sleep that isn't what it was. The sense of being slightly out of alignment with your own life, even when everything looks right from the outside.

You don't need to arrive fit. You don't need to arrive knowing how. You only need to arrive willing — genuinely ready to change how you live, not just curious about it. That difference is everything, and the first conversation exists to find it honestly, for both of us.

Everything else belongs to the first conversation. But here is what tends to sit in the way until it is named.

How will I get there?

You'll fly into Tulum or Cancún — Tulum is nearer, Cancún is often easier to reach directly. From there, take the coast road in a rented car, or simply let me come for you. We settle that together, once your dates are held.

What about the bloodwork?

Your labs are drawn where you live, before you ever come — your real data, never a template. If you're in the United States, I'll guide you to Function Health; it's quiet, thorough, and simple to arrange from home. Your entire protocol is built from those numbers before you land.

The thirty days before — what do they ask of me?

Small, deliberate shifts to how you eat, sleep, and move — eased in slowly, so nothing overwhelms you. By the time you reach Akumal, you are already in motion. The first day isn't a beginning. It's a continuation.

Do I need to arrive fit?

No. Not fit, not knowing how. Only willing — genuinely ready to change how you live, rather than curious about it from a distance. Everything is shaped to your body, and moves as it moves.

May I bring someone?

Yes. One guest, or one couple — never more. If you come together, each protocol is built on its own: your own blood, your own history, your own goals. You are never folded into a group.

What is included?

All of it. The home itself, every session of training and yoga, daily bodywork, the infusions, every meal, the ancestral and sound work, and three months of care once you're home. You arrange only your flight and your bloodwork. The investment, we speak about when we speak.

And after I leave?

That is where the work is tested. For three months we stay close — a call each month to keep your protocol alive inside your real life, and an open line in between. What happens in Akumal matters less than what happens when you go home.
